“”On 18 July 2026, MNRE extended the ALMM List-II (Solar PV Cells) exemption until 31 December 2026 for eligible Net Metering and Open Access Renewable Energy Projects.

What Has Changed?
Projects commissioned on or before 31 December 2026 under the eligible categories can continue using Non-DCR (imported) solar cells, as per the latest MNRE guidelines.
